"Incontro bilingue tra il Gallo Rojo e musicisti teutonici: WE HOPE WE UNDERSTAND,nella speranza di capire/capirsi. Speranza è un termine che andrebbe abolito dai vocabolari e sostituito da "qui e ora". Di certo è un "qui e ora" il risultato di questa realizzazione Gallo Rojo in quanto, visto l'alto interplay tra musicisti italiani e tedeschi, il desiderio di comprendersi tra loro e di comprendere il materiale musicale e le influenze implicite ed esplicite appare realizzato. Zwei mal Drei è un sestetto che nel repertorio cita i propri numi tutelari (Strayhorn, Dolphy e Waldron) prendendo dal primo la leggerezza compositiva, con un pensiero all' "insieme" ellingtoniano e alla sua tavolozza cromatica, dal secondo i pericolanti spostamenti melodici e la vitale, positiva sardonicità e del terzo il parcellizzato approccio improvvisativo, fatto di cristalline reticenze e sussurri. Tutto questo rivisto attraverso i suoni aggiornati, secchi dei metalli,intestinali delle corde, tondi degli ottoni ed ance, a cui ci ha abituato il collettivo Gallo Rojo, nella rilettura del passato prossimo della musica improvvisata; una tradizione di cui sicuramente è stato ed è protagonista Daniele D'Agaro e le sue peregrinazioni olandesi"
